Description
The Essex Elm Bookcase is a handcrafted set of shelves that are the perfect furniture piece for any bedroom, nursery or playroom. Like all of our pieces these are an original design and because each item is individually made by hand every single one is slightly different to the next and thus truly unique.
Original designs like this are a pure antidote to the Homebase led war on art where mass produced pictures and furniture of no real style, quality or artistic merit are available in bulk for people with no taste.
I know that sounds a little judgmental but it is important that we do not let our lives be dictated to by large corporations who would much rather limit choice to a few bland items of their design and pass them off as quality.
The American led war on flavour has pretty much been won by MacDonalds and the makers of sweet chili sauce and we must not let the same happen to our art.
